These robust and flexible lessons build a foundation of environmental literacy and prepare youth to become environmental stewards and thoughtful leaders within their communities.
With more than 160 lessons across all grade levels and seven eco-themes – water, waste, food, energy, transportation, air, and public spaces – Sustainable Intelligence introduces students to sustainability challenges and opportunities and engages youth in developing real-world solutions through project-based activities, design labs, and school eco-audits.
Available in both English and Spanish, these standards-aligned lessons include comprehensive lesson plans with step-by-step instructions, advance preparation and teaching tips, cross-disciplinary connections, assessment recommendations, cultural adaptation ideas, technology integration, opportunities for differentiation, and community connections and service ideas. Lessons also include a range of additional resources, such as presentations with corresponding teacher’s notes, student worksheets, and assessment checklists and rubrics.
